As the Global Life Actuarial (GLA) IFRS 17 Methodology Lead, you will have the responsibility to deliver all the GLA work packages in a timely and good quality manner on behalf of the Group Chief Life Actuary. You will also link into the broader scope of the IFRS 17 project managing the relationship with other functions and key stakeholders.
As a Global Life Actuarial IFRS 17 Methodology Lead your main responsibilities will involve:
Representing GLA in all aspects of the projects and coordinate work within the GLA responsibilities and deliverables for the project
Understanding and linking into the other functions strategic goals as well as requirements from an IFRS 17 perspective
Supporting the methodology development with the methodology team defining a realistic implementation plan
Understanding the status for GLA globally and overseeing correct implementation in local entities and regional CoE (Centers of Excellence)
Collaborating and giving methodology input to the Solution Design Team and driving program progress
Being the link between the project team, the GLA function and other Finance functions
Leading the Actuarial Methodology Project Team.

University degree in Business Management, Finance, Mathematics or Informatics, with Actuarial Qualification
Substantial years of experience as Life Actuary including several years of experience in Life Actuarial systems and processes
Good knowledge of current IFRS standards as well as IFRS 17
Experience with Prophet (or equivalent) modelling techniques
Proven successful project management experience and leadership behavior
Strong analytical skills and solution orientation
Flexible, able to work in a multicultural environment and to focus on priorities
Highly developed communication, negotiation and persuasion skills
Ability to develop strong networks internally and externally
Excellent English written and spoken, additional languages desired, specifically German and/or Spanish
Primary work location is Zurich. The travel requirement is up to 20%.
