P&C Actuary

An exciting new General Insurance opportunity has opened up in Hong Kong!

Reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Actuarial Management, you will play a key role in providing corporate actuarial support to the P&C business units right across the Asia region.
This will include:
- Completing quarterly and annual valuations as well as local statutory reserving and reporting requirements.
- Providing operational and experience feedback to function areas such as Products, Claims and Client Markets
- Providing input into the risk management on terms of trade for large transactions
- Monitoring of regulatory developments in the region, and assessing business impacts
- Assisting the steering of strategic business initiatives across the Asia region.

Managing one actuarial student you will also work closely with Products to align costing and valuation approaches and ensure a solid feedback loop between pricing and reserving.

You will have a solid actuarial background with a P&C insurer, reinsurer or broker ideally from the Asia Pacific region. Your excellent communication and culturally aware interpersonal skills will allow you to build strong working relationships with business units across the region.

Whilst having attained a Fellowship with an actuarial institute is preferred, highly experienced Actuaries approaching qualification will also be considered.
